On March 18th, the Thursday of the March break, we will be hosting a free family movie night showing the movie Hoodwinked. The doors open at 6:45 and the movie starts at 7sharp. There won't be any childcare provided but Hoodwinked is a family friendly movie. Our plan is to also have a popcorn and pop concession stand.
The idea behind the movie night
Part of the idea behind the movie night was to provide a non-threatening opportunity for our church family to interact with the larger community that we are a part of. It gives people the freedom to easily invite friends and for non-churched people to find out that "church" isn't such a scary place after all.
We are providing it as a service and an act of love to our community.

The movie begins at the end of the story. We start at Granny's house as Little Red Riding Hood enters, but this time the story has a little twist. We get to see Little Red Riding Hood with a black belt, The Wolf who isn't trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes, Granny with a dangerous side, and the woodsman with a cowboy accent. Not to mention the characters we've never met before, including Boingo the cute bunny, Chief Grizzly who is willing to arrest anyone, and Nicky Flipper who is trying to decipher what actually happened. All the while, the Goody Bandit is on the loose, trying to accomplish his master plan.
83 min long - PG
