Last year we organized and hosted a booth in the Agricultural building (arena) at the Fall Fair. We had places to sit and bottled water for people to drink.
We also did a short 'God Servay" and allowed people to enter a draw for a basket of goodies including books, snacks and an ipod. It was well received, lots of fun for those involved and allowed for some great conversations!
We are planning to host this again this year. Likely with two booths instead of one for more room! The first planning session is June 6th at the PEG get together at 7:30pm at the Church. I was reading somewhere and saw a idea for "Freshen-up Packs". This is what they said:
"At festivals and public places, it is difficult to wash hands -- a moist towelette is a practical small gift. Package a few with some mints and make it a freshen-up pack. Towelettes can be printed with your church name and logo and/or you can add a connection card for your church."
I thought that was kinda a neat idea.
The God survey was helpful for starting discussions but would it be a good idea to do the same thing again, especially for those who came through last year? Is there something else we can do that opens the door for those discussions?
