Events from 2010

Valentines Project 2010 - Fifteen gifts were created including a card and chocolate.  It was a simple, and practical way to show Christs love to those around us.  In many cases it was also used to plant seeds for what we hope will be future conversations and relationships.

March Movie Night - CBC hosted a family movie night over the march break, showing the movie Hoodwinked.  Nestor Falls Marine donated the popcorn and popcorn machine and we also served pop and juice boxes in our concession stand.  Overall the night went really smoothly with a turnout of approximately 45 people.  It was lots of fun and performed as a service of love to our community.

Reid Rd Neighbourhood BBQ - Olive and Carmela organized a neighbourhood BBQ for their road and vicinity!  They had lots of food, great times with neighbours, games and even sang a song!

Emo Walleye Classic Basket - A great basket was put together for the 2010 Emo Walleye Classic penny table.  It was labeled as a Family Night Pack and included a movie, popcorn, a daily bread, a popcorn bowl and other great goodies.  It was encouraging to hear how much the person who put this basket together enjoyed it!

Events from 2009


2009 was a year of learning and many firsts including our very first PEG meeting.  

In May, we put together a price basket for the Emo Walleye Classic. The basket looked great and was very well received!

We arranged to purchase $50 worth of the well renowned Tina Mast cinnamon buns.  Cinnamon buns were given to the police station on behalf of the church.  They were received with a bit of shock and surprise!  On the card was written a thank-you for their service in the community and Micah 6:8 "What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Thursday Night Live BBQ's were a combination of P.E.G and the social committee. Two happened throughout the summer and were loved by both church members and visitors alike. They were a great time of community.

The Fall Fair brought a rest station hosted by CBC-PEG at the Emo Fall Agricultural Fair. Church members handed out God surveys which gave opportunity to start spiritual conversations with people they see every day as well as those visiting for the fair.

The Movie Night was a Christmas event where we opened the church doors on the Friday of Holidaze to show The Nativity Story upstairs and host a children event downstairs.
